In the village of Chhota Mechia Busty in Jaigaon, most people cannot afford to go see a doctor whenever there is a health problem. This of course creates more problem when a whole area is dependent on no one turning sick or injured.
The Health Centre project was intiated through the help of Wennerstrom Ljuskontroll Ab from Sweden in cooperation with Kjell Borneland Academy with a motive to provide free check-ups to poor children and village patients before making the decision of turning to an expensive hospital and shall also be capable of helping with minor injuries and illnesses. Equipped with first aid kit and free medicine, it brings the opportunity of taking care of one’s health of children and people who never known anything like it.
Apart from medical first aid treatment, this will be the centre of Health Awareness Programs and providing knowledge on sanitation and cleanliness to the village people of Jaigaon.
At the present time the start up construction has been started with a small donation through Wennerstrom Ljuskontroll Ab, from Sweden. The total construction cost of the health centre has been estimated to US$ 16949 and we hope to complete the construction by May 2015. We would like to request everyone to contribute and help us in developing the project which would save lives of many children and people.
